From Lebowski to Siddharta
(The magical encounter between Salsa and Puntero)
The author
Maurizio de Magistris was born in Naples, but as a young boy moved to Rome where he still lives and works.
With a degree in Economics he is a partner in a corporate consulting firm. He is currently a member of the auditing committees of companies that belong to some of the most important Italian corporations (Bulgari, Leonardo, Lottomatica, EP, doValue…). He has in the past worked in the same capacity for other equally important companies.
His interest in writing merges with that for interior research and having started with traditional psychoanalytical experiences, for over thirty years he has also added yoga and meditation.
He has written poetry, songs, short stories and a number of plays for himself and also developed a project for a TV comedy entitled “Almost Gurus”, presented at the 2008 Rome Fiction Festival, which was selected among ten international finalists and received with applause and great amusement by the international jury.
Finally, he is also a humble bowler, a second category player with rather limited technical abilities that do not however keep him away from bowling alleys, national competitions and on some rare occasions even international ones.
“From Lebowski to Siddharta” is his second novel. The first one, “The Shoes”, has not yet been published.
